Jan 1, 2020 - Hibbing, MN - The historic Range Regional Airport in northern Minnesota is seeking a new Assistant Director. For those looking to further their career in aviation administration, this represents an excellent opportunity to move forward.
This Assistant Director is responsible for all daily aspects of a non-hub, non-towered, regional commercial service airport. They will be expected to:
- Supervise operations, maintenance, and FBO staff across 24-hour operations.
- Ensure compliance with state and Federal regulations, including FAR Part 139, State of Minnesota, TSA 1540/1542 regulations, the Airport Certification Manual, and wildlife control.
- Oversee emergency planning, construction administration, snow removal, Aircraft Rescues and Firefighting (ARFF), heavy equipment operation, and airport finance administration.
Applicants are expected to have both relevant airport management experience, as well as strong communications and time management skills. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited school, with major coursework in Airport Management or a related field. They need the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with airport stakeholder groups, including government officials, tenants, customers, and the general public.
The position is considered essential and will be considered on-call on a 24-hour basis.
There is a 30-minute commute from employees’ residency requirement shortly upon hire.
Salary will be determined based on experience.
